Our Story
Bob Wozney graduated from Milwaukee Area Technical College with a degree in Mortuary Science in 1977. After completing his apprenticeship and acquiring a few years of experience, Bob built the Wozney Funeral Home at 1378 East Wilson Avenue in Arcadia in 1983. Bob became partners with his brother, Jeff Wozney, and together decided to expand their business.
On June 1, 1992, Bob and Jeff bought the Killian Funeral Home in Arcadia. They operated the Wozney Funeral Home and the Killian Funeral Home as two entities and employed Brenda Killian as the funeral director in the Killian building. Bob’s wife, Mary (Kostner), also worked at the funeral home as the office manager from 1992 to 2009.
In 2006, Bob sold the Killian building and merged the two funeral homes together at which time the business became the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home, operating solely out of the current Wilson Avenue location.
